At its plenary session held on Tuesday, the Nerja Caves Foundation unanimously approved the budget for 2014, amounting to €3,924,194.
The increase in projected revenues (2.5%) is due to a planned increase in entry price to the Caves, which will be fifty cents more at €9.00.
The adjustment of the entrance fee will also result in a corresponding increase in municipal revenue as the Council receives a percentage of the ticket price.
The Nerja Caves Foundation has always produced balanced accounts and has never had to resort to outside funding.
