Atlético Madrid have moved to the top of La Liga, at least temporarily, after a 3-2 win over Levante on Saturday evening.
Atlético fell behind after just one minute courtesy of Ivanschitz. Godin levelled matters on the half hour mark and at the beginning of the second half, Diego grabbed the first of his two goals for the evening.
Pedro Rios equalised for the visitors but Diego Costa’s second gave Atlético the three points and top spot in the league.
Eight yellow and one red card in this encounter, Levante’s Juanfran Garcia being dismissed in the 89th minute.
