A 69-year-old man was injured and is now in hospital in Antequera after suffering from smoke inhalation during a fire at his home in calle Antonio Benitez in Cuevas de San Marcos.
The incident occurred at around 20:40 on Monday. The fire caused a lot of damage to the house, particularly the kitchen where, it is thought, the blaze started. The actual cause of the fire is not yet known.
