The disturbances in the Gamonal district of Burgos continued for a fourth consecutive night as residents continue their protests against Council plans to turn calle Vitoria into a boulevard.
Throughout the day, protesters set up checkpoints to prevent workmen carrying out any work in the street. There was also a march on the police station to demand the release od people detained during the disturbances. A total of forty arrests have so far been made.
During the evening, a rubbish container and a site hut were set alight by a group of protesters.
