Atlético Madrid have moved to the top of La Liga pending Barcelona’s Sunday evening encounter with Málaga after a 2-4 win over Rayo Vallecano.
Villa, Turan with two and an own goal from Niguez helped Atlético on their way to the three points, Viera and Larrivey replying for Rayo Vallecano. Barcelona drop to third place, but that will probably change before the day is out.
