Torremolinos Council has imposed fines of €6,000 on two minors for damaging street furniture.
The incident occurred at 11:00 on January 13th when Local Police officers saw two youths repeatedly throwing stones at a municipal billboard, the sign becoming damaged as a result.
The officers identified the youths involved and then informed the parents of their administrative responsibility in the matter should any fines be imposed.
Fines for damaging street furniture in Torremolinos range from €3,000 to €15,000, depending upon the severity of the offence. The fines will have to be paid by the minors or their legal guardians.
