The Guardia Civil is investigating the death of a 33-year-old man who apparently dropped dead after a struggle with a barman in Totalán.
The incident occurred at 23:00 on Sunday at a bar in Totalán when the man entered the bar and ordered a drink. The barman refused to serve him on the grounds that he was already intoxicated and a subsequent argument turned violent.
Punches were thrown and another client joined in to subdue the angry customer. It was at this point that the man apparently dropped dead.
Guardia Civil officers, who arrived on the scene at 23:10, carried out CPR but to no avail.
