The regional Minister of Tourism, Trade and Sport, Rafael Rodriguez, has announced a plan for discussion relating to controlling the illegal rental of properties in Andalucia.
Among the measures included in the plan is one requiring the Tourism Registry number to be included in all accommodation offered for tourist rental.
Rodriguez hopes to have the rules sorted out by June of this year. Only Cataluña operates a similar type of system to control tourist rentals and, naturally, to generate tax and other revenues.
The Minister also called upon the Central Government to become involved in the plan.
