Two mountaineers died on Saturday after suffering a fall while climbing on the route known as La Araña in Zapardiel de la Ribera, Ávila.
A rescue operation began at 13:21 on Saturday and involved Mountain Rescue, Guardia Civil and Civil Protection units along with helicopter support.
The rescue teams eventually reached the two climbers but they had died as a result of the injuries sustained in the fall. Their identities and ages have not yet been released.
