The National Police have arrested seven people in connection with at least twenty robberies, some with violence and intimidation, along the Costa del Sol.
The seven detainees, Spanish, Albanian and Romanian nationals, belong to an organisation specialising in robberies of luxury properties along the Costa del Sol. The gang used sophisticated electronic devices and even gained access to CCTV systems while carefully planning their robberies.
Four houses belonging to gang members were raided in Estepona, Salou, Cambrils and Madrid and police seized €16,000 in cash, jewels, watches, bags, computers and mobile phones worth over €200,000. So far, at least twenty robberies have been attributed to the gang.
