The Mayor of Nerja, José Alberto Armijo, has announced a number of projects to be undertaken with the #347,277 being provided by the Málaga Provincial Council under the Plan for Productive Investment, a scheme designed, amongst other things, to promote sustainable investment and create employment.
These projects will be in the areas of Environment, Education and Culture, Sports, Traffic and Transportation and Cleaning.
Environment
Work in the botanical gardens at Torrecilla beach, Plaza de los Cangrejos, Parque Verano Azul and the Sports Centre.
Culture
Improvements to the Nerja Cultural Centre.
Sports
Repairs to the fencing of the Football 7 pitch in Parque Verano Azul.
Cleaning up the building at the football pitch Pepe Luis Bobadilla.
Education
Construction of a new access to the Nueva Nerja school in the area that is currently a car parking lot.
Cleaning
Introduction of new underground rubbish containers and the purchase of new vehicles.
Transport
Improvements to the bus station.
Improvements to lighting at pedestrian crossings.
Setting up a parking area in the Barriada de los Poetas.
Purchase of bollards to improve safety in pedestrianised streets.
