Eleven migrants intercepted in the Strait of Gibraltar

A boat carrying eleven migrants, including a pregnant woman, was intercepted on Friday evening about 16 miles southwest of Tarifa.

The passengers, nine men and two women, were taken to the port of Tarifa where they were assisted by members of the Red Cross before being handed over to the National Police for further processing.

The passengers, all adults, were all said to be in good health.
