In the first edition of the Championships of Spain for Infants celebrated in Alcobendas, the Nerja Athletics Club were second in the male category and third in the female category.
In the male category, victory went to Castellón with 816 points. Second were Nerja with 784 and third Puentecillas de Palencia with 752 points.
In the female category, first place went to Valencia Terra i Mar with 781 points. In second place were Castellón with 713 points and third was Nerja with 697 points.
Some great individual performances in the male category were: Kiran Karstron, 1st in the high jump, Alejandro Martínez, 1st in the long jump, Franco Ramiro, 1st in the javelin, Brian Huila, 2nd in the 1,000 metres and second place in the 4×80 metres relay (Kiran Karstron, Brian Huila, Joaquín Costa and Bartolomé Clavero).
In the female category, Eva Salcedo was 2nd in the walk, María Castillo was third in the long jump and Paula Barrauwas third in the shot.
