There is a notice on the door of the former Saloon in avenida Castilla Perez – opposite El Bosque at the junction of calle Fray Junipero Serra – asking for waiters, waitresses and kitchen staff, so presumably something new will be opening there in the not too distant future.
Anyone interested in one of these jobs is requested to pop their CV under the door.
There seem to have been numerous complaints about over-zealous policing at San Juan, particularly on El Playazo beach but also at Burriana. After publishing the rules that music must be turned off between 04:00 and 10:00, a perfectly reasonable request, police went from bar to bar and tent to tent at 22:00 telling people to turn off their generators and music or face a fine.
