Twenty-one migrants intercepted by Spanish and Moroccan authorities

The Spanish and Moroccan authorities have intercepted two small inflatable boats attempting to cross the Strait of Gibraltar.

The authorities received a call at 07:00 to say that a boat carrying ten migrants was heading for Spain and the boat was intercepted by the Moroccan authorities. A little while later a second call was received to say that a boat carrying eleven people, including a pregnant woman, was on its way to Spain and this was intercepted 7.5 miles south of Tarifa, Cádiz province.

The occupants were taken to the port of Tarifa for processing.
