A four-year-old girl died on Saturday after falling from the fourth floor balcony of an apartment in the suburb of Hostafrancs in Sants-Montjuïc, Barcelona.
The incident occurred at around 17:30 on Saturday afternoon. The young girl was rushed to the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu in a critical condition but doctors were unable to save her life and she died a few hours later.
Police are investigating the incident but have apparently already ruled out domestic violence or the fall being the result of a push.
