The bulldozers have been on Carabeillo beach clearing away vegetation and other items and there is very little bathing area left at the moment.
This work is apparently related to the sewage plant being constructed, finally, for the town and was postponed from pre-summer so as not to interfere with the summer season.
Be warned. On the Mirador del Bendito, as you admire the view, there is now quite a nasty smell. Or there was today. Going down the steps to the beach it becomes a real stink.

There is also a growing problem with drinkers who spend all day at the viewpoint above Carabeillo beach. More and more of them are gathering here, and debris from syringes can be seen on the ground. Some have dogs which are very badly treated. Very intimidating, and nothing seems to be done about it. The Town Hall do not respond to emails.
