Maritime Rescue has launched another search, this time for a small boat which could be carrying 48 adults and 9 children, all sub-Saharan migrants.
The authorities received a call from Morocco alerting them to the fact that the boat ad set off for Spain, possibly from the cabo Tres Forcas area where, earlier, another boat carrying 48 passengers had departed. The second boat was intercepted by the Moroccan authorities on Wednesday evening.
Three metre high waves and winds of thirty knots are not helping the authorities in the search for the missing boat.
