The roadworks in calle Iglesia, at the side of the church on the Balcón de Europa, should be completed, including the laying of the cobble stones, within one month from now, according to the Council.
The infrastructure – lighting, drainage, electricity etc – has been renewed and the company Empedrados Los Picantes S.L, a Granada-based company, has started to replace the cobble stones.
Once the pattern has been established, the cobble stones will be laid and then filled with white Macael and stones.
Calle Iglesia was one of the few remaining cobbled areas in the town.
