The works to improve the pavements in calle Los Huertos is expected to start next week, according to the Council.
The current budget of the works is €97,000 and the completion period is the standard four months.
Although various works have been carried out in the street over the years, some of the pavement areas have remained a problem. This is particularly the case on the curve by calle Trancos where the pavement narrows to a few centimetres in width, no use to man nor beast.
This has meant that pedestrians have to step out into the road at this point and, being on a curve, this is a potential hazard as the road is also very narrow at this point.
