Faiçal Britit and Cristóbal Ortigosa, both members of Club Nerja de Atletismo-Cueva de Nerja-UMA, took first and second places in the provincial cross-country championships held at the weekend in San Pedro de Alcantara.
In the female category, first across the line was another Nerja athlete, Lara Arias. The team events, male and female, were both won by Club Nerja de Atletismo-Cueva de Nerja-UMA.
In total during the championships, individuals from Nerja won 6 gold medals, 4 silver and 5 bronze. As a team, Nerja managed 7 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medal.
