Two siblings, an 87-year-old man and an 80-year-old woman, were seriously injured on Saturday morning after being beaten up by burglars at their home in Torredelcampo, Jaén.
The incident occurred at around 06:00 on Saturday morning in calle Tomillar, Torredlcampo, when burglars attempted to rob the house.
Apparently, when the robbers failed to find the cash they had expected, they took out their disappointment on the two elderly residents, particularly the man who suffered very serious injuries.
Both the injured people are in the ICU at the Hospital Neurotraumatológico in Jaén. The Guardia Civil is investigating the incident.
