The National Police in Ronda have arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of committing at least 15 robberies with violence, his victims aged between 70 and 80 years.
The police investigation began a few weeks ago after a spate of robberies in a short space of time, all perpetrated on elderly residents who were in their homes at the time of the attacks.
At one property, police found a bicycle discarded by the thief after committing the robbery and this helped in their search for the thief. During a later robbery, a police patrol car was on the scene and the alleged perpetrator was arrested.
After a court appearance the man was remanded in custody.
