Burriana car park finally opens

The underground car park at Burriana beach, due to be ready before Easter, has finally opened for business.

The car park is open from 10:00 to 22:00 and if you were to park for that entire period it will cost you €22.25.

Do note that the car park is currently actually locked at 22:00, which has already caught out one or two people who were still finishing their meals at that time and were subsequently unable to return home.

Tariffs:

  • 15 mins – €0.50
  • 30 mins – €1:05
  • 1 hour – €2:10
  • 1 1/2 hours – €3:05
  • 2 hours – €3:95
  • 3 hours – €5:75
  • 5 hours – €9:45
  • 8 hours – €14:95
  • 12 hours – €22:25

Maximum daily charge – €22:25

  1. So, an increase from €1 a day to €22.25…. who will ever use this car park at those extortionate rates ? Another white elephant.

  2. Anders says:

Well, I thought that the parking problems at Calle Lucena would go away when they opened the Car park. But 14.95 for 8 hours? Really? Calle Lucena will stay full on summer weekends and probably all August.

  3. I think a straight €5 fee whether it is for 5 minutes or 5 hours would be a little more sensible. Will this council never learn from its previous mistakes. The car park is there for the long term, so I do not think they have to try and get all their money back in the first year. That policy is always doomed to failure.
