The PSOE, EVA-Podemos and Ciudadanos are preparing a joint motion to set up a register of volunteers for the reception of refugees in the area.
They also want to determine the measures necessary to coordinate the work in the area of various associations, volunteers and ONG’s.
The Council aims to join the network of so-called ‘sanctuary cities’ and make preparations for accepting refugees and is asking the general public to cooperate and give care and assistance to any refugees.
The Council is apparently aware, however, of the legal limitations relating to such motions and agreements.
