The Council has set up a series of meetings with residents and businesses in several areas of the town to discuss occupation of public roads and plans for the Christmas period.
The first meeting was with residents and businesses in the centre of town – calle Pintada, Cristo, Gloria and Carabeo – where occupation of public thoroughfares is at its highest.
Next up is a meeting with residents and businesses in Plaza Tutti Frutti to discuss plans for Christmas and this will be followed on Thursday by a meeting relating to calle Diputación and Plaza Cavana.
Various problems have arisen relating to the occupation of public roads – restricted access for vehicles, noise, rubbish and disrupted passage for local residents – and the Council appears keen to resolve these matters.
