Malaga regional health delegate Ana Isabel González confirmed last week that the new health centre would not be built as work was still continuing on “adapting the site”, the fourth suggested location going back 15 years. This now means that funding for the new health centre will not be considered until 2019.
In February of 2017 Malaga regional government delegate, José Luis Ruiz Espejo announced in Nerja that the town’s new health centre would be built on open land close to the Supersol supermarket across from the Nerja Club Hotel. Given what he had said about the health centre it was assumed that the project was ready to break ground.
