Hearing screams coming from a flat in the La Virreina district of Malaga, neighbours called the police who found the 35 and 75-year-old victims tied-up and gagged.
They told police investigating the break-in that their attackers forced entry into the flat while they were asleep, tying them up and beating them before ransacking the place in search of money and valuables.
Both women suffered serious injuries with the daughter in a state of shock following what the police believe was a sexual assault.
This latest forced entry comes after a series of similar robberies earlier this week in Murcia.
