The Algerian authorities have intercepted a small boat carrying 28 migrants which the Spanish Maritime Service had been trying to locate since Thursday.
Five arrested for financing terrorism
Five people have been arrested today in Irún (Guipúzcoa) and Navarra for their alleged links to a network financing Islamic terrorists. The detainees are accused of sending money to Algeria to finance the terrorist activities of a radical Islamist cell.
19 illegal immigrants intercepted off Almería coast
Maritime Rescue has intercepted a boat carrying 19 Algerians after a relative of one of the passengers became concerned about the time it was taking to make the crossing and alerted the authorities.
