The Council is trying once more to persuade the Junta de Andalucia to declare the Ermita de Nuestra Señora de las Angustias as a place of Cultural Interest (Bien de Interés Cultural) or BIC as it is usually known.
Criticism of ‘monument’ status for Casa Rudofsky in Frigiliana
The environmental group GENA-Ecologistas en Acción has criticised the decision by the Junta de Andalucia to register the house built by the architect Bernard Rudofsky in Frigiliana as a ‘monument’ (BIC – Bien de Interés Cultural).

The Council is proposing to ask the Ministry of Culture to declare the Virgen de las Angustias convent a place of cultural interest (BIC – Bien de Interés Cultural), at the same time requesting a cooperation agreement for the further restoration of the building.
