Calle El Barrio April 1st 2013…

Work has resumed on calle El Barrio after the Easter holiday period when not much seemed to be going on at any of the renovation sites.

Day 8…

On the sixth and seventh day they rested, but on the eighth day it was both hands to the pump and the alley next to ZaZa’s was being dug up. One would imagine it is going to get quite disruptive for the businesses in the area, although fortunately it is a relatively quiet period in town.

Work starts in calle El Barrio

The work on renovating calle El Barrio started this morning, Monday March 11th. The project is expected to take four months to complete.

The work to to complete the renovation of calle El Barrio, the section connecting with avenida Castilla Perez, did not start this week, presumably due to the Andalucia Day public holiday and the slightly inclement weather. The Council has signed a contract with Transportes Antelo to complete the renovation of calle El Barrio, the section connecting with avenida Castilla Perez, and work could begin next week. The project has a current budget of €280,000 and is presently scheduled to be completed i four months.

Calle El Barrio roadworks to start after Christmas

The renovation and pedestrianisation of the final part of calle El Barrio will begin after the Christmas holiday period, This was announced after a meeting between the Council and local residents. Calle El Barrio phase one is complete

The first phase of the pedestrianisation of calle El Barrio is now complete, up to cafeteria El Barrio, and the street is back to normal.
