Improvements to Chilches beach
The Department of Coasts is set to spend €30,000 to improve the beach area in Chilches, creating a two and a half metre recess in the area designated for parking, installing a breakwater to prevent landslides and improving access to Torre de Chilches. The works will increase the beach size by 500 metres.

Chilches residents object to illegal camping
The Association of Residents in Chilches has complained to the Local Police about illegal camping next to the N-340, asking why such activity is permitted when there are proper campsites nearby with all the facilities for these camper vans. The Council has promised to monitor the situation.
