Temporary agreement with chiringuito owners
A temporary agreement between the business sector and the Department of Coasts will allow the existing chiringuitos to keep their existing terraces, espeteros and hammocks until the end of the year without running the risk of being fined.

Chiringuito Eduardo on Playa de las Tres Piedras in Chipiona has been demolished. The building was deemed illegal by the Department of Coasts as it infringed upon the public domain.
Hefty fine for Estepona chiringuito owner
A chiringuito (beach bar) owner in Estepona has been fined €240,000 by the Department of Coasts for invading the public domain by increasing its size from 100 square metres to 500 square metres.
