15 arrested for selling rubble as copper

The National Police have dismantled an organisation that had been earning huge profits selling rubble as copper, arresting fifteen people into the bargain.

Thieves caught red-handed

Guardia Civil officers in Fuengirola have arrested three people, all Spanish nationals, after catching them red-handed stealing copper cable and various appliances, including air conditioning units, from a Ministry of Public Works storage facility in the city.

20 detained in connection with cable thefts

Twenty people have so far been detained in an investigation into an international plot to steel cables, mostly copper, in Cádiz and neighbouring provinces. Raids on several industrial premises are being carried out in Jerez de la Frontera and further arrests are not being ruled out.

More cable thefts in Ronda

Thieves in Ronda have made off with about 125 metres of cabling from the street lighting in three areas: Murallas del carmen, urbanisation Arenal 2000 and La Pedania.
