After the overnight rain and overcast skies this morning, it did not look good for the Day of the Bicycle, but it cleared up nicely and out came all the bikes. Cool in the shade but quite warm in the direct sunlight.

XXIV Dia del Pedal
Tuesday February 28th is the XXIV Dia del Pedal – Day of the Bicycle, coinciding with Andalucia Day.
Good turnout for the Dia del Pedal
Andalucia Day and Dia del Pedal (Day of the Bicycle), although the annual cycling event appears to have become the main focus of attention on this day of celebration. A very good turnout as usual.
Dia del Pedal 2011
Monday February 28th, Andalucia Day, will see the holding of the XXIII Dia del Pedal (Day of the Bicycle), starting and finishing at the Balcon de Europa.
Día del Pedal in Torre del Mar
Sunday April 11th is the XXVII Dia del Pedal (Day of the bicycle) in Torre del Mar. It starts at 12:00 from the Paseo de Larios and there will be various trophies awarded plus the raffling of some bicycles.
Day of the Bicycle
Vélez-Málaga will be celebrating its Dia del Pedal (Day of the Bicycle) on Sunday March 14th, Torre del Mar on April 11th and Almayate on May 23rd. There will be prizes for best costume, unusual bikes etc.
