Iberia flight cancellations

Iberia have cancelled 34 flights in Andalucía as a result of continued strike action by cabin crew, most of them in or out of Málaga airport.

Second day of flight cancellations

Today was the second day of industrial action by Iberia cabin crew resulting in the cancellation of 210 flights. In Andalucia, Málaga and Sevilla airports were the worst affected with twelve cancellations of flights to and from Madrid.

Compensation for cancelled flights

The EU Court of Justice has ruled that airlines will have to compensate passengers in the event of flight cancellations, even if due to mechanical problems with the plane. Compensation can, however, be refused if the problems are beyond the control of the airline.

Air France flight cancellations

Air France has cancelled 10 flights between France and Spain scheduled for today, Saturday November 15th. French pilots are on strike, protesting at government plans to increase the retirement age to 65 years. The current retirement age is 60 years for pilots and 55 years for flight attendants.
