CPI up seven-tenths at 4.6%

The Consumer Price Index for May was up seven-tenths on April at 4.6%, the highest level since 1995.

IPCA FOR FEBRUARY REMAINS AT 4.4%

For the first time in five months, the ‘harmonized’ rate of inflation has not increased, remaining at 4.4%. The Índice de Precios de Consumo Armonizado (IPCA) or Harmonized Consumer Price Index, measures prices in harmony with other countries in the euro zone and was introduced in 1997. The rate of 4.4%, however, is the highest level since January 1997.
