Card copier arrested in Marbella
Police in Marbella have arrested a 38 year old owner of a retail establishment who copied the credit card details of clients and used the information to gamble online. The detainee, a Spanish national, obtained around €9,000 from the copied cards. He was arrested for similar offences in both May and June 2012.
Violent mugging in Marbella
Police are appealing for witnesses to a violent mugging in Marbella at around 02:15 on February 11th which left a 34 year old Swedish woman with a fractured leg. A security camera in the area failed to identify the assailants.
Shooting outside disco in Marbella
A man was seriously injured early on Saturday morning in a shooting incident outside a disco in bulevar Alfonso de Hohenlohe, near the Hotel Guadalpin,in Marbella. The incident occurred at 06:15 and could have been related to a dispute whereby some individuals were refused entry. The National Police are investigating the incident but no arrests have yet been made.

Body recovered at Marbella beach
The body of a man was recovered on Saturday evening in the waters off playa Venus in Marbella, just in front of the Hotel El Fuerte. A member of the public discovered the lifeless body floating in the sea and notified the authorities.
