Maro beach used in national promotional campaign

A photograph of Maro beach has been chosen by the regional Ministry of Tourism to promote Andalucia, with daily papers, provincial, regional and national press featuring the photo.

Improvements at Maro beach

The Council is carrying out improvement work to Maro beach including the erection of two huts to store materials relating to the two concessions at the beach, namely canoes and sunbeds.

In the competition organised by Antena 3 to find the best beach in Spain, Maro beach has been rated the best in Andalucia via online voting on the Antena 3 website and is now one of the twelve regional candidates competing for the title of Best Beach in Spain.

Timotei in town

Maro beach was the scene of the latest film session, this time for the shooting of a commercial spot for Timotei. Around 15 cast and crew were down on the beach on Wednesday taking advantage of the glorious weather. The filming took place at the westernmost part of the beach.

Kiosk for Maro beach

Maro beach will have a refreshment kiosk this year after the unfortunate demise of chiringuito Las Palomas last February, the bar being completely destroyed by fire.
