Long queues out of Gibraltar

The annual August tourist influx has led to queues of up to four hours for people leaving Gibraltar as the Spanish authorities increase controls in what they claim is an attempt to combat the smuggling of tobacco and other items.

Fishermen from La Linea de la Concepción, Cádiz, have returned to fishing around Gibraltar during the past few days with no reports of incidents, this relaxation in tension coinciding with the arrival of EU inspectors.

Queues for Davis Cup tickets

There were long queues, as one might expect, outside the various outlets in Sevilla selling tickets for the Davis Cup Final against Argentina which takes place in the city from December 2nd to 4th. The cheapest tickets are €180 and the most expensive are €390 for the three days.
