Storm damage in Riogordo last Thursday when 100 litres of water accumulated in just three hours has been initially estimated at €500,000.
Improvement works on calle Lazo in Riogordo completed
Improvement work on calle Lazo and several adjacent streets in Riogordo have been completed, the provincial authorities financing the €119,165 project under the Provincial Plan for Works and Services. The works included improvements to the pavements, sewerage system, drainage pipes, telephone cables and street lighting.

The provincial Council is funding improvements to calle Lazo in the centre of Riogordo, with the first phase of works set to cost €165,000.
Dia del Caracol in Riogordo
Sunday May 30th is Dia del Caracol (Day of the Snail) in the town of Riogordo and the Minister for Tourism, Trade and Sports of the Junta de Andalucía, Luciano Alonso, will deliver the opening speech.
A-356 between Colmenar and Riogordo still closed
The A-356 between Colmenar and Riogordo, closed since February 5th due to damage caused by storms, was due to reopen today but this has now been postponed until next week as the repair works are not yet finished.
Stretch of A-356 closed until March
The A-356 from Casabermeja to Vélez-Málaga between km 19.500 and 18.500 is now closed and will remain closed until March 7th while repairs are being carried out.
