Sunday November 16th was the X Seabed and Beach Cleaning Session, the event taking place a little later than normal due to the extended summer season.

Rough seas, a frequent occurrence at this time of year, prevented divers from taking part in the The IX Seabed Cleaning on Sunday and they will try again next Sunday, although with a fewer number of participants.

The IX Seabed Cleaning Day is scheduled for Sunday September 29th, an exercise organised by Buceo Costa Nerja – the Nerja Dive Centre – on Burriana beach.

As can happen at this time of year, the sea prevented the divers from carrying out the cleaning of the seabed on Sunday. However, all was not lost as the thirty divers and other volunteers cleaned up the beach area at Burriana, removing driftwood and other debris.

On Sunday October 21st, weather permitting of course, the divers will be out and about once more for the VIII Seabed Cleaning which this year will cover Burriana, Torrecilla, Barranco de Maro and the Balcon de Europa area.
