Piracy is now a crime

The Council of Ministers has approved a new crime under the Penal Code, that of piracy. It does not apply in such cases as the ‘Alakrana’ or any act occurring before the law actually comes into force.

Fall in unemployment in the third quarter

According to the National Institute for Statistics, unemployment in Spain fell by 14,100 in the third quarter when compared to the second quarter.

The number of fatalities in Spain as a result of complications arising from infection with the Inflenza A virus has risen to twenty, with four of those cases being in Andalucia.

Sixteenth Influenza A fatality

A person in Madrid has become the sixteenth fatality in Spain as a result of complications associated with Influenza A. At the express wish of the family, no details of the latest victim are being released, not even age, sex or at which hospital the death occurred.
