Council announces spending plans valued at €653,988

At a meeting held on Friday the Local Government approved a number of works valued at €653,988, some of these being in collaboration with the provincial Council and others funded from the municipal coffers.

Record tourist spending in 2013

Spending by international tourists in Andalucia amounted to €8,390 million during 2013, an increase of 8.3% over 2012.

The bigger Apple

Apple now has more cash to spend than the United States government, the latest figures from the US Treasury Department showing that the country has an operating cash balance of $73.7bn while Apple’s most recent financial results put its reserves at $76.4bn.

Positive tourism figures

According to a Tourist Spending Survey (Egatur) commissioned by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, tourist spending in Spain was up by 2% in 2010, the first positive figures since 2007.

Expected winter sales spending

According to a survey by FUCI (Federación de Usuarios-Consumidores Independientes), Andalucians are expected to spend €85 during the winter sales which start on January 7th 2011.
