At the weekend it was First Andalucian Volleyball Meeting in Puerta de Santa Maria and four members of the Nerja Municipal Volleyball School were summoned to participate.
Tenth place for volleyball team
The infant team from the Nerja Municipal Volleybal School, champions of Andalucia, finished in a creditable tenth place in the X National Championships held in San Cugat del Vallés in Cataluña. A total of 24 teams from all over the country participated in the championships.
Volleyball team off to Barcelona for the national championships
The girls of the Municipal School of Volleyball are off to Barcelona to compete in the national championships after recently being crowned Champions of Andalucia.
More volleyball success for Nerja
The girls of the youth team from the Municipal Volleyball School won the Andalucia Championships at the weekend and now qualify for the Spanish Championships which take place in Barcelona on May 22nd. Nerja’s Ana Muñoz was voted the tournament’s best player.
Success for Nerja volleyball team
Success for the infant female volleyball team at the Andalucia Championships held in Almeria at the weekend, winning all three of their group matches to qualify for the finals being held in Almeria on May 4th and 5th.
Success for volleyball team
The infant team from the Municipal Volleyball School triumphed in the Provincial Championships held in Pizarra and now head for the Regional Championships, Phase B, being held in Almeria on April 12th, 13th and 14th. The team comprises Ana Muñoz, Sara Jaime, Triana Atencia, Alba Puertollano, Lara Herrero, Giulia Hererro, Paula Piñero, Julia González, Carolina Allepone, Marina Armijo and Natalia Sánchez.

Local girl Jessica González Guerrero is now a part of the National Volleyball Squad and has been participating in the European Championships in Barcelona.
