The new Football 7 pitch is now looking green as work progresses and it should not be too long vefore the project is completed. The original completion period was set at five months.

In theory at least, the work on the much needed Football 7 pitch in Parque Verano Azul is at the halfway point, the completion period having been originally declared as five months. Fortunately, already gone forever are those 150 odd surplus ‘free’ parking spaces.
Plaza de la Ermita and Plaza Cantarero, June 10th 2010
The works in both Plaza de la Ermita and Plaza Cantarero are now into their fifth month, so here’s the latest photos of progress on both sites.
Renovation of Plaza Cantarero thought to be ‘imminent’
Work on Plaza Cantarero (Orange Square), originally scheduled for November 2008, has still not started but according to local residents in the area the renovations are ‘imminent’.
Plaza de Andalucía
The renovations to Plaza de Andalucía are moving along, albeit slowly, with two workmen even toiling away when everyone else was taking a ‘puente’. It is certainly going to look a lot different to the original square.
Hive of activity
A veritable flock of workmen on the Balcon de Europa today as the renovations continue. According to a new sign that has appeared, the completion period is 132 days.
El Chucho beach update, May 24th
