Residents groups affected by the PGOU (all hail and genuflect) in Marbella are planning to take to the streets on Tuesday, providing they get a permit.
The Plataforma de Afectados por el Plan General and Plataforma del Guadaiza, two groups of residents whose homes have been deemed illegal, are planning to join forces in a protest march on Tuesday. Both groups are fed up with vague promises and want to see some action, and election time is as good a time as any to voice disapproval of the way things are being handled.
The residents of homes deemed illegal under the PGOU face either paying ‘compensation’ in order to legalise their situation or the demolition of their homes. The protesters, who have no political affiliation, are not after compensation, they just want to see an equitable solution to the problem for all concerned.
