National Police on strike in July

The busy month of July will also see a strike by National Police officers in Málaga province in support of their demand for a new collective pay deal.

The strike action, supported by all five Unions (UFP, SUP, SPP, Sindicato de Comisarios and Confederación Española de Policía), also includes those representing chiefs and commissioners.

During these two days each week, National Police officers will only carry out duties relating to public safety, emergencies or humanitarian assistance. It will mean, for example, that there will be no-one behind the counter at the airport checking passports or identity cards during a month when 30 flights an hour are expected to be arriving at Málaga airport.
