One man drowned and a woman was seriously injured yesterday near Zahara de los Atunes beach in Barbate, Cádiz.
A group of five swimmers got into trouble whilst swimming in an area noted for being ‘dangerous’. The rescue services were alerted but were unable to save the life of the man. One of the group, a woman, had swallowed a lot of water and was in a serious condition.
The incident happened at around 19:30 yesterday evening.
