A Spanair plane with at least 160 passengers on board has skidded off the runway at Madrid’s Barajas airport.
Spanair flight 5022 was taking off from terminal four en route to Gran Canaria when it seems that one of the engines caught fire.
There are currently conflicting reports as to whether the crash involves fatalities but up to 60 people have been injured.
